Drum corps is a sport, one of the most mentally and physically demanding out there. Today’s members are athletes of the highest level, and the expectations of the modern performer are higher than ever. In combination with the mental and physical demands of the show itself, members bring their technology and life with them on tour, are expected to balance family, school, and the pressures of becoming independent, high functioning members of society who will go out into the world after aging out to lead this country. When you analyze high performers in any industry, whether Olympic athletes, CEO's of Fortune 500 Companies, or Entrepreneurs, there is a common thread - all high performers have coaches. Specifically, coaches that work on mindset, personal development, and breaking into new levels of success by understanding the mindset necessary to do so. As Carolina Crown is one of the highest performing ensembles in the world, and is on a mission "To Develop Lifelong Excellence in Young People," it is a deep honor and absolutely thrilling to be part of the first drum corps in history to create this full time position for the betterment of its members.
