Joe Roach Appointed Executive Director

FORT MILL, SC - Carolina Crown has named Joe Roach to the position of Executive Director. Roach, who joined the team in December 2022, brings a wealth of experience from previous organizations such as Music City Youth in the Arts and The Cavaliers. His background, leadership and passion for the development of performance-based arts programs will help further Carolina Crown’s mission “to inspire and develop lifelong excellence in young people.”

As Executive Director, Roach will lead Carolina Crown’s business and program development. He will continue to head the drum corps program as Corps Director. “Joining TeamCROWN has been an opportunity of a lifetime - I look forward to digging in further with the team and am excited for the future,” said Roach.

“Working with Joe over the past few months has been a great experience, and he’s brought an incredible wealth of knowledge to our team,” said Cody Crawford, Chief Financial/Operations Officer of the South Carolina-based non profit. “I’m excited to welcome Joe to the management team, and I look forward to working with him as we look to expand our programmatic and educational opportunities here at Crown.” 

Founded in 1988 as the Charlotte Drum Corps Association, Carolina Crown has evolved into a world-class performing arts organization, winning the Drum Corps International World Class Championship in 2013; in August Carolina Crown earned a third-place finish at the 2023 DCI World Class Championship competition.
