Designing the Future: Potter and Queen Join Carolina Crown for 2026
Carolina Crown is proud to announce the addition of two highly respected leaders in the marching arts to its 2026 design team: Keith Potter, Artistic Director, and Rosie Miller Queen, Visual Design Advisor.
“I'm extremely grateful to go back to Carolina Crown,” said Potter. “The organization is amazing, the staff is talented, the design team is incredibly creative, and the performers are some of the most elite in the world! To have a chance to do this once in my life was incredible, but to get a second chance at this is overwhelming!”
Potter, who previously served as Crown’s Program Director (2009-2016), returns with more than 34 years of experience as an educator and designer. His design work has impacted some of the most successful programs in the activity, including The Cadets, The Cavaliers, Pride of Cincinnati, and the Boston Crusaders. A Center Grove High School graduate and former member of the Cadets of Bergen County color guard, he has also designed for leading scholastic programs such as Avon, Carmel, Arcadia, and Center Grove High Schools.
Queen, who previously served as Crown’s Color Guard Caption Head (2003–2005) and later as a consultant through 2014, brings an accomplished career as an instructor, designer, adjudicator, and director since 1983. She led the Carmel High School color guard program to five WGI World Championships, eight consecutive IHSCGA State Championships, and five BOA Grand National titles. Her contributions extend to world-class ensembles such as Pride of Cincinnati, Aimachi, Bluecoats Indoor, and Arcadia High School. Currently, she serves as Secretary of the WGI Executive Board and as Instructor Education Director for the WGASC circuit.
Carolina Crown looks forward to the creativity, leadership, and educational excellence Potter and Queen will bring to the 2026 season.
