Crown Heads East for Western Carolina Summer Symposium

After almost three weeks touring the midwest, the Crown convoy is making its way east again--east to Western Carolina University. Wednesday and Thursday of this week Crown will be the featured ensemble at the Western Carolina University Band Summer Symposium in Cullowhee, NC.

Just like the Music for All Summer Symposium Crown participated in at Ball State University, band students from around the country will march, play and spin with Crown during various clinics and rehearsals. Also this week, Crown will enjoy stretch of four contest-free days leading up to this Saturday's much-anticipated reunion with the Bluecoats and The Cadets. The corps meet up at DCI Kentucky in Alexandria before heading west again to DeKalb, IL, for the first Tour of Champions Show of the year.

The last time Crown competed with the Bluecoats was June 27 in Hamilton, OH. They have not seen The Cadets since the DCI Tour Premiere in Indianapolis on June 23. The TOC show on Sunday will feature many of the top ten World Class corps from last year's DCI Championships, including the 2015 top corps, the Blue Devils. Other corps competing in DeKalb will include Santa Clara Vanguard, Bluecoats, The Cadets, Blue Knights, The Cavaliers and Phantom Regiment.

You can find more information about the Crown tour in the Calendar of Events. Also, don't forget to buy your tickets for the NightBEAT Tour of Champions show coming up on July 31st in Winston-Salem, NC. Click Here for tickets and information.
